Choosing the Right Prop for Me
My 920 with a 250/,manual plate should be here in the next few weeks. I'm sure the dealer will help me with the prop that fits me but thought I would throw it out there.
I would rather have a good holeshot over top end speed. I could easily give up a few miles per hour as I don't see me running in the 70s .
Any suggestions ? Thanks

23 is too small. 24 is likely best overall with a load. I am happy with a 25 Fury3 even.

Too small for the 250R the you have but the 23 Fury has some good reviews on the 250 Pro XS 4 stroke. But have also heard good things regarding the 24 Fury. I am curious as to how a Tempest would run on them.

I am looking for a 25 tempest to try out. I think it would do well. Phoenix is putting 24p on most of their 4 strokes from the factory. The 23p will have really good acceleration but for top end, the 23 is more for heavy boats. The 4 stroke will de tune to make it look like a 23p is the perfect peop RPM wise. Perhaps it's more of what each owner is going for. In this case, yes the 23 will be the fastest hole shot perhaps. Plug all holes and run a bit deep on the jackplate I think to maximize efficiency

For me the mid 60s would be plenty fast. Getting up fast in shallow water is desirable. Sounds like I need to be leaning toward a 23

I think even a 23 should hit 70-73.

23 fury is running great on my 920 w/ mercury 250 4s. 77.9mph is best at 6200 rpms. Consistently running 75.

And unbelievable hole shot

I don't see me running over 70 on a good day. Just need to get up fast in skinny water.
