    Sonar units?

How many run 2 units or more and want networking capabilities??

How many don’t care if the units network or not, as long as you get what you want on the bow and console??

Definitely 2 units networked much more flexibility!

It would be disappointing for me to go back to non-networked units.

I run 3 units, 5,9 & 8. Tried networking, but I wanted to see what was under me at the bow, not what was under the tail end !! So, i run an HDS 8/SS at the bow and HDS 5 in the console and a Raymarine 9 W/3-D at the side.

My units are linked to share waypoints. Bow and console units have separate transducers

Same Bow unit can look under trolling motor, under stern and side scan at stern. Down imaging at bow is different unit. Waypoint sharing is most important.

My HBs are networked but for the most part I don't really care that they can talk to each other. There are lots of outings where I don't even bother connecting the ethernet cable.

I have HDS9 touch units at the bow and console. I also have an HDS7 button unit at the console that I use for mapping while I'm using the 9 for full screen Structurescan. They are all linked together by NMEA and Ethernet. This lets me share one map card with all three units and share waypoints.

Its great to be able to mark something on Structurescan on one unit and have it show up on the other units.

I have my units networked. Sometimes when I had a 998 And a Helix 10 the units would inadvertently change to another screen. Now I have 3 Helix units connected but I leave cable at bow unconnected until it’s needed. No issues at all.

I would go bananas if I had to revert back to non networked units lol. For idling and marking waypoints there is no substitution.
