If its the same bridge it was different tracks across it. Look at the gap on the right side of the bridge to the bank. Also the height of the ground on that side. and the ground on the left side its even with the bridge on the RayVision, but lower on the other image, so being if its the same bridge on was off which could be why the trees are missing.

Notice how the trees look different on the other between passes. Notice the trees on the left are taller on the Raymarine and even with the bridge on the other shot.

My goodness those are incredible photos!! I've seen Timmy Hortons show many times where he gave lessons on his Raymarine units but I had no idea they were that freakn good. My Lowrance units are not like that on side scan

settings can really make a difference with these units. it can be a chore fine-tuning it, but im glad the options are there.

Chief, can you post the settings you have found to work best?

I have been running my Element on the factory settings and am pretty impressed so far, but the transducer bracket with the locking teeth is causing a bad angle for the transducer on my transom so I think this may hurt my performance.

Jig34 and ChiefBrody. All those images look amazing. What kind of setup do you run? I am not familiar with Raymarine and I was a little confused in looking at their website. For an Axiom 9" what would you need to make those images or does it come with everything you need? Can one transducer do the 2-D down vision and side vision?

Thanks, I am thinking of upgrading my FF on my kayak this year and I am considering all brands.

Raymarine uses an all—in-one transducer for the Axiom and the Element (RV and HV), but as of now only the Element can do Hypervision... which is where the nicest images come from.

Thanks! You seem to have the latest FFs from Garmin and Raymarine. How would you compare their images? The Raymarine ones seem to look a bit better to me. Also, how is the low speed GPS performance. HB units still jump all over the place if you are less than a couple of mph. The Garmin does nice averaging to give a good steady result (when I am going at a perfectly constant low speed). The HB is almost useless for controlling speed on a low speed troll. The Garmin is awesome. I have no idea how the Raymarine units are.
