Always hate to hear that happen. What year is your boat and what do you do to treat/fix the blisters?

Have they fixed the compound make up in the gator backs, I had a 2016 Basscat sabre (bought new) and they put gatorback bunks on the trailer within a couple of months they grooved/cut my hull right thru the clear coat and into the gel coat, I had to send it back to Basscat under warranty and they removed the bunks and refinished my hull. They put carpet back on my trailer bunks. I would like to try gator back again if I knew for sure it wouldn't groove my bullet hull.

They've claimed to have change to a softer material... Check with Jonathan Vanmeter ( jvanmeter@gatorbak.com ) he'll steer you right... Dan

Gotta grind the gel down to the glass, reglass a bit, marine filler, body work all that down smooth then reshoot the gel, sand and buff.

I’ve sold several sets of GatorBacks locally and the material is softer than the original stuff from way back. I cut a piece and rubbed it hard down my top cap “dry” and it was fine. It did appear to have a little “erase” residue that would wipe of.

crank are you saying you got blisters from the gatorbacs or did you have carpet on the bunks? I've been in contact with jonathon at gatorbac and he did mention a new material. Not sure if its new meaning very recently or what was mentioned here
