remember their first few press releases where the BPT Championship was going to be "bigger in size and scope than the Classic"...................only to learn a few months later "we can't get any manufacturers to show up to the consumer show so we pushed it back until 2020"

I’ve been fishing my entire life and I’d rather watch this all day every day compared to a Classic Weigh In. There are others that feel that way and I think it will bring in some casual viewers.
There are people that feel the same as you and a lot of them are 5 fish tournament who will never buy into this format. I just think that the number of people who fish tournaments and won’t watch doesn’t outweigh the number of people who don’t plus the casual fans.
If it were up to me I’d completely elimate tournaments all together but if there has to be one I hope this format sticks around even if they don’t televise it.
