    Sun gloves

Several years ago I got some fingerless sun gloves that were made by Columbia. I thought they were great and decided to get a new pair. Of course they don't make them anymore.

What should I look at as a replacement?

I wear the glacier gloves...have 2 pair so I can swap them out if they get too wet.

I picked up a pair of the Buff brand at a slight discount last spring... Fit, function, etc. is fine, but after less than a year, I'm not overly impressed by their durability.

May try the G.G. Islamorada when current pair is done...

Yep, this. I've got a couple pairs I got on Amazon and I really like them. Protect well, comfortable to wear all day, and don't make you hot. If you're not in a rush you can keep checking Amazon, they drop in price then go back up pretty regularly. Also agree with Tfall, they've held up much better than I expected. Don't get me wrong, they'll get little picks in them, but they have held together extremely well. I expected to be shredding them the first day I got on a good bite. Not so. They protect against bass them (yep, call me a wuss) and make it easier to hang onto fish in general, too.

I also have a pair of Simms. They're better thought out (the fingers are different lengths to account for how the sun hits your hand while fishing, for example, and the palm is cut out presumably to make them less intrusive. Even so, I still like the Glacier Gloves more....I don't even know what it is about them, I just like them better.

I wear a large size and they fit perfect because they stretch. So I think just order your size.

Columbia does have a new model but I haven’t tried them. I can tell you that the new model is about 25% more expensive than the old one.
