    Bass Pro Angler Jacket

    Does anyone have this jacket?

    https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/bass...ngler%20jacket

I don't really have anything for cold weather, and don't want to spend a "boat load" - but this seemed like a decent choice with tournament season right around the corner. So does anyone have this jacket and what are your thoughts on it?

I have an older version of it that I got 2 or 3 years ago, wear it frequently during the fall/winter months. Keeps my torso/head dry when out in the rain, not a replacement for a quality rain-suit on the water but great for when I'm driving around town or going in and out of the office at work. Works great for my kids hockey games as I coach and I am standing behind the bench. Big enough that I can layer under it for those really cold mornings if needed.

Fished Kissimmee yesterday. It was 40 degrees and a little windy and cloudy. Stayed warm all day. Good jacket for the money.

I am surprised at the quality of BPS jackets made in Bangladesh. Have the 3 different kinds.

As a Floridian...I don’t have many jackets. I was in Minnesota and went into Duluth Trading Company, their Ultimate Flannel is awesome! Thick enough for cold Florida weather and not too cumbersome. I’d look into it. It’s soft on the inside, insulated and over the last 5 years it still looks new.

I'm glad I asked! Definitely going to pick one up, I should have just picked it up for the price and returned it if they were of low-quality!

I tried on a medium and it would have been fine but only if I wore it with only a shirt underneath. If you’re going to layer I would go up 1 size. It’s a nice lightweight jacket.

Kohls and Macys will be starting to clearance winter jackets at the end of the month. I have several North Face, Solaris jackets/ vests I got for 50-60% off in the past.

I got one year before last. I does what its supposed to. I find it a little stiff and the cuffs seem rough. Maybe I just need to get it wet and beat on a rock? I like this one better, https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/redh...jacket-for-men

I have had one for the last few months. Comfortable and WARM. Fit is as expected, fairly water repellent. At that price, I may buy another one.

They seem to run a bit bigger on size.

While I don’t personally own one, I tried a few on at my local BPS. Here is my recommendation, to get you the most bang for your buck, go with Rivers West. There is a difference between wet and dry. There is a difference between wind resistant and wind proof. I’m not willing to spend my hard earned dollars on a lesser product. When I go out, I want to know that I’m going to be dry, warm and totally comfortable.
