    Another flooring question

Looking to put down a"wood based" laminate. (AquaGuard), over concrete.
Concrete should be settled (35 yrs), but there is at least one ridge that I can feel thru the carpet.

Question is, how thick can leveling compound be?
Do I need to allow for grinding?

    Thx

You can use a concrete planer is necessary. Thickness of maximum leveler depends on the individual product. Those with fine silica aggregate can be poured or troweled thicker. The exact shape of your individual pad would determine the type of floor preparation needed. It pretty much an eyes on type of thing. A straight edge or a string is your best friend when looking for humps and valleys.
