Do you know how to take screen shots that are written to a memory card so your posted pictures are what it looks like on the unit, not what a camera picture is?

If you marked that boat .... go back over it with the same range settings and compare to the 10

Some quality is lost when saving the file to SD card.

A screenshot is a picture file that is the same as the display pixel count. Any loss of image quality is done with how you view it.

Thanks Wayne .... has the screenshot image changed? I remember it being reported in the past that the image quality when saved wasn't as good as when viewed on the unit's screen.

Not if you take the PNG file off the unit and don't manipulate it - I've made JPGs for smaller image quality years ago, but don't do that for this reason any more.

The reason the "original" may not look as good on a monitor is the relationship between the monitor's pixel size compared to the physical size of the unit's pixels.

One thing that will help with the images is to open up the frequency sweep range.

The MSI units are capable of 1000-1300 kHz (1-1.3 MHz) and if you have it, use it.

I will run ranges that differ between DI, SI or even bow & transom (units) to keep a clean return and avoid any cross talk or "waffle effect".
