    Yes, the sj722 loads up better with light jigs than the xray 733 does.

    Dont get me wrong - both are awesome and equally capable with a 1/4 oz hair jig. But the sj732 just has a little bit of a faster and lighter action tip. I fished both a good bit with all lures, and the 732 is my hair jig rod, the 733 is my tube and swimbait rod.

    I'll compare them to the rods I fished exclusively prior to going all custom - the st croix legend tournament. The 733 is fairly equal in flex to the 6-10 medium legend tournament. The 732 is just a tad bit lighter, but not as light as a legend tournament medium light. If I had to put a number value on it, I'd say the 732 is 10 -15% lighter action less than the 733, but the St croix medium light would be approx 25% lighter action than the medium.

    We throw a lot of 3.3" keitech fat impact on 1/4 oz draggin style heads for smallmouths.
