    Fluke question

Have any of you guys ever rigged one like this. I have some plastic rivets and am thinking of trying it. https://www.facebook.com/Wired2Fish/...2225026909072/

You'll have to retie every time you lose a bait

That's how I learned it - from that video. It has improved my hook up ratio in open waters.
On the grass can be a little "trouble" due to catching grass.

I can live with that. I actually need to retie more often than I do, and with the line sliding inside the rivet I would think it needs retied more often anyway.

When I go weightless I use the thickest 3/0 hook I have to give it a little weight but the rivet way gives it nose weight which is even better to me. Not how I throw them in Florida, most of the time need to be weedless, but I like the idea!

Very few lakes around here have grass other than shoreline willow grass. I actually don't fish one the normal way, I like them around rocks, bluffs and sloping shorelines, cast them out and let them spiral down, and I was wondering if the metal rivet would cause it to nose dive instead of spiral.

I have used this same method on split belly swim baits and it works well. Have to give it a shot on flukes too I guess.

With the rivet like that after a bit of fishin it wants to fall out of the bait. If you take the rivet through the belly slit it keeps the split ring on the treble from ripping the plastic with the flare end protecting it from the bait. Takes time to rig it double but it works well. I rig several in advance for fishing double.

I have, but using the rivet stem and rivet hat is going to make it a whole lot easier

Have fished the fluke with just a hook and the line twist gets so bad.... just about have to use a swivel.
