I ordered the 54" Ultrex 24v for my Nitro Z8. It seems like the kickstand or stabilizer bar is too long for a bass boat. Is there a way to get a shorter bar? If I mounted it, the trolling motor wouldn't come anywhere near laying down in a fixed position. Is the stabilizer bar longer for the 54" than the 45" model?
Are you talking about the bar that keeps the TM from bouncing when it's in the stowed position? If so, you have to cut it to the required length.

Didn't know they made a 54" Ultrex? Thought 52" was The longest?
And, it's almost solid aluminum so be sure to start with a fresh blade.
If the dealer rigged your boat, they should have done this....just sayin'.

Have a 2nd blade ready just in case. I used cheap blades and went thru 2 making this cut.

Cheap ain't the word if it took two.. good thing it was soft aluminum.. Might take a handful if it was mild steel.
I just used my chop saw. I didn't have the patience to use a hack saw.
