I’d rather jump head first onto a thumb tack off the sears tower.

If it is coming out of the NW gusting up to 50 I would like to see how big the waves get coming down the Rio Grande, from the bank of course! Got caught up in Caballo about 12 yrs ago with my son, morning was light winds but by noon it was blowing 25-30 out of the S/SE. Where the river meets Zorro and Tule it was a mix master and I was powering up waves in a 20' boat. Finally cleared that area and around the church steeple it was only 3' waves all the way to box where the main lake opens up and then they were 5' rollers. Never been so happy to get to the ramp at Box Canyon and load the boat! Guy in a 21' Skeeter was unloading and saying people didn't know how to handle rough water. I was wiping down the boat and taking my time and I could hear his motor as he was headed west out of box. My son asked why I was taking so long and I told him let's just stick around a little bit. About 15 mintues later the guy in the Skeeter made it back to the ramp declaring what a rough #%$#^*# it was out there. Hmmmm.......thought he knew how to drive in that water! Hahahaha!!

Fish that lake long enough in the winter and you will get to witness ROUGH !!
Now the weather guessers are backing off on the wind speed for Del Rio on Saturday.
Probably end up being a nice day after all.

I think they laid an egg on this deal, I know several teams that won’t be there in June for the make up deal.

Yes Sir I was there. Weather guessers missed that one also.
Sadley the directors have to go off the information given. On Wed that info was calling for gusts over 40. When it's wrong the director is the one who catches hell. After last year there going to err on the side of safety.
