    90hp Etec Pontoon Series

Wondering what the best SS prop would be for this motor it is on a pontoon. Currently it the stock prop Aluminum 15 pitch on it turns 6000 rpm. I believe I could go up to a 17p and still be good on max rpm for the engine. I just don’t know anything about Evinrude props.

Check the performance reports for your pontoon here it will give you all the test data you need. An Aluminum prop will have a lot of flex in it compared to a SS prop. https://www.evinrude.com/en-US/performance-reports.html

If you're at 6K rpm's right now, chances are you'll get little performance gain out of a 17 pitch. Might just be throwing good money after bad.

He's 500 RPM over the operating range at 6000 RPM he needs to come down in RPM's.

Well pick a toon something similar in size it's not rocket science. Go to a 17P SS prop you're over revving you motor.

I have a 90 E-tec also, not a pontoon series though. 5200 is ideal for WOT so you are over recommended RPM. This might get better input from the E-tec owners forum http://www.etecownersgroup.com/
