    Christmas trees

I have access to a floating dock. Sits in about 30 feet of water. I plan to suspend some left over Christmas trees underneath it. Any recommendations for depth? And do most people suspend the trees trunk up or trunk down.

    Thanks.

Concrete block, 15' of rope and some milk jugs tied in tree will work.

The ones I've got hanging are on rope(upside down), so I can adjust for the thermocline, usually around 25-30 feet

How many trees ya ever seen grow upside down, even natural trees in the lake that are standing connected to the lake bottom are trunk down. LOL

Trunk down. As algae forms on the branches, it will weigh them down and force the tree to spread it branches and give more open space. If you mount them trunk up, the tree will get smaller as the branches weigh down. I usually cut every other branch off to open the trees even further before burning the needles off. I use HD zip ties to attach the blocks.

Simply this ^^^.. the fish could care less if it was horizontal. Your bait will come through it more efficiently . Pull a Christmas tree through the front door by the top .. Same difference.

I'd be more concerned about how you're gonna defend your spot from tx fishermen, pros, and grumpy old men.

Make sure to put up No Trespassing signs all over your dock! If you have enough put 2 on the bottom and 2 half way down. Why not cover all depths? If you have enough trees of course!

Get some Led lights on it for night fishing. Perhaps a few ornaments for safe measure too
