    R ember the school principal that ban Christmas Items?

    Elkhorn Nebraska ( part of Omaha).

    New principal lays the law down before this past Christmas. Some items that will not be allowed.


    Santa
    Candy Canes ( they look like the letter J for Jesus)--- It is his Birthday
    Elves
    and other normal Christmas decor

    Well, Bye. Good job, good benefits, but your beliefs don't fit in around here.

    The link below is when they put her on leave around the 8th of Dec. Today the decision was made not to reinstate her as a principal

    My previous manager wouldn't allow us to have a "Christmas" party. Had to be after the holidays and called a holiday party.

    We recently had a school principal fire a school resource officer, an active duty police officer. The school principal was fond of parking her minivan in an area clearly marked as an unloading zone for handicapped vans. The officer warned her twice and the third time ticketed her vehicle. She fired him. The principal is currently on leave and hopefully will be canned.

    I think they get scared of lawsuits from the organizations that just go around searching out stupid stuff to sue about. That and they dont really know the constitutional protections or rights when it comes to the law. So they just decide to try and eliminate everything and end up screwing themselves

    I am a teacher. We don't have Christmas themed things permitted and I agree we shouldn't. We don't celebrate or advocate for other non-Christian/Catholic holidays either. It is not fair if you celebrate a certain holiday that is not Christmas and have it forced on you, especially if your holiday is not represented as well by the school.

    well i think it is complete BS and glad she resigned but guess I would have to agree with what you are saying. Dont like it but i get it and illustrates how times have changed
