No. Can't provide a comparison. I have a buddy that re-powered with a Merc 150 4 stroke a couple years ago on a Ranger and his performance suffered noticeably.

ProXs all day IMO. Personally not a fan of the G2. Gonna be bashers on every choice I just choose proven Mercury products personally.

All opinions. I’ve owned two merc’s And both have been the biggest pieces of shit I’ve ever saw. Of course there are good ones too. G2 is as a good motor as any.

You should take a look at Yamaha. I've owned many brands of motors through the years and Yamaha has been the most reliable by far.

Not much for dealer support in the area. Even the Evinrude dealer is a little farther than I'd like (about 45 min). Merc dealer is maybe 20min away

who cares if thats what you want and your protected for 10 years. Selling could be due to price compared to other brands and rigging costs when switching over, there outstanding motors id buy one in a heartbeat especially with a 10 year warranty. Maybe they can offer a 10 year warranty because there confident in there product and know its a great selling feature and wont cost them much because there motors have very few repairs.

It’s not an “easy” repower. Well, mine wasn’t
