TRANSOM SAVER LENGTH

Has anyone with a 518 or 518 L with a jack plate and a Mercury 200 4s know the make and length of the transom saver supplied by Ranger. I wanted to purchase a Motor Mate but they are not making them for the 4 stroke motors yet. I am not sure if the model of Ranger matters as long as it has an 8 or 10 inch jack plate I tried to find out the jack plate size but I have heard from one it comes with an 8 another says 10 inch. Thanks for any feed back.

Try looking at the Moto stop transom saver. I had one when I had a 4-stroke Yamaha. I got it through Tackle Warehouse.

The Motor mate will work fine on the new 4S v6/v8. You will still need steering clips whichever way you go. There is a thread in the Verado 4S Mercury section on harder tips to use with the Motor Mate
