I need the actual ( not "length may vary" as posted on Ranger Site ) of this set up. This is with tongue open of course. Garage is going to be tight. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! - JP

I can tell you that Ranger told me via an email that the new Mercury 225/250 Pro XS 4Stroke engine cowlings stick backward 5" more than the Mercury Pro XS 2-stroke cowling. That reduces your clearance behind the back end of the boat with the end in the vertical position by 5".
Also, I asked a local Cabela's sales manager to actually measure the overall boat/jack plate/motor/trailer length with a metal retractable measuring tape of a Ranger boat I was interested in. Last, the overall length you get should include the manual or hydraulic jack plate if the boat has one.
