Helix mega

Hey guys I've been trying to do as much research as I can but I'm having problems finding what I'm looking for. I have a helix 9 mega s.i. at the console and I'm looking to add a helix to the front. I'm wanting to link the 2 units together so I can see waypoints at the front that I marked from the console while idling around. I know I'll need an Ethernet cable and, I believe, an adapter to hook to the unit. My biggest question is since I have a mega unit at the console does the front unit have to be a mega also in order for the waypoints to show up or does the unit just have to be network capable?

The other unit just has to be Ethernet capable to share waypoints. To connect two units, you would need an ethernet cable of suitable length and an ethernet adapter cable for each unit.
