6’9”-7’ mhmf. Whatever is comfortable and cast the lures I’m using well.

I use both a 6’ 10” and a 7’... one glass composition, one graphite both medium action. I know a few guys that use the glx for squarebills, I’ve settled in on two St. Croix’s for this.

I hear great things about the imx pro 845cbr. I use dobyns champ xp 704cb and 705cb. Just picked up shimano expride a 7’2 mh for squarebills but haven’t used it yet.

GLoomis E6x 7' MH Mod Cranking series. Works decent, no reason to spend over $200 on a cranking rod.

For short distance target casting shallow squarebills, I actually started using a 13 Fishing Defy 6'7"MH that has a decent moderate action. Less than $50 invested, and it's been working great. So good, that I bought another. They actually work great for jerkbaits too!

Dobyns 764CB RM, or 685CB if fishing docks and trees n such.

Have been eyeing the CBR series from Loomis since I switched my bottom contact rods from Dobyns to GLoomis NRX, but the Dobyns Champ XP CB line is really, really good.

I've read 855 makes a great squarebill rod as well...
