Well we ended up going to Alamo. It was Avery tough day. My buddy caught one largemouth, and that was it except for a few bites. Water level was not as high as last year this time. Talked to few other guys and the rangers and they said it has been pretty slow. They are all hoping bite turns on in 2-3 weeks. Tater temp was 56-57 degrees with about a foot of visibility.
Sorry to hear they haven't started their biting yet at Alamo. We ended up fishing Roosevelt in the rain on Sunday and did fair. We picked up 7, with two of them being decent size. Water temps were similar to what you had, 55-57 with a mix of clear and stained because of the rains.

More rain and snow headed this way tonight and tomorrow. Looks like we have plenty to fill our local lakes this spring and might have a little extra for you guys further south and west . Tired of winter now and ready for fishing weather.
We'll take every bit of it! The more rain and snow we can get over the next month and a half is welcome. It's been way too dry for way too long.....

Glad to hear you caught some apenland. Good job! I'm ready for it to warm up some and head back to The Butte. Glad to hear we are still going to get some more moisture though.
