On a serious note read all you can, Google, YouTube, here and Tackle Underground have helped me tremendously. Really think about what you want color wise and have a plan before each pour session. Initially stick to the basic colors you like, green pumpkin, watermelon etc. Don't get crazy on colorants, flake and such. Keep it basic at first. Find a plastic blend you like that does not require additives either. Waste of time and money. There are enough blends ready to go to fit what you want.
Most of all have fun.
That's good stuff!Here is something that I absolutely love. When you get pictures texted to you from people using something you made to catch a fish or two on. A young man locally making his own bladed jigs used one of the smaller swimbaits as a trailer while the other angler used one of the 7" swimbaits to catch a nice one. Good times and great to see people smiling and catching fish.
