    Connecticut river in Mass fishing?

Has anyone done any fishing in the Connecticut river in western MA, winter time, been reading some books I have and seems it is a good spot to fish. Anyone fished it and have any suggestions on ramps or general areas? I have a 19' aluminum boat I would be trailering, I am about 15 miles outside Boston.

With all the rain we have had this year. I would imagine the water is still moving fast on the Conn. River. About as high as it is during the spring time after the snow melts.

I would head to the Cape if you want winter small mouth.

The Conn. river in the spring is even worst. The flow is very heavy on most parts of the river. Late May thru November are good times to fish the river. Chicopee, Oxbow, Barton's Cove all good in that time period.
