I would like to spend a day fishing the everglades while we are there. What ramp would you recommend using? Coming from Clewiston.

The thing about planned fishing vacations, I take them once a year also, is that you can’t stress about what the lake is doing or water height or whatever, you just have to go and deal with what you got. Adapt and find the fish, sometimes it’s easier to hire a guide for a day to basically pay for an insight for the pattern. I headed to Lake O in about 7 weeks.
Sometimes I need my ATV when in my boat and sometimes I need my boat while riding my ATV.
Thanks guys! Leaving in 4 days, cant wait!
12.45 now..
We had a great trip! Size wasnt great, but we did end up with 2 pushing 6lbs and 7 over 4 lbs. Spent 2 days in the glades and caugh 20+ each day there. Okeechobee got better each day and on Friday we landed over 100 bass. The big girls are moving up.
Good on you with the video post. Finally someone offering something other than negativity.
Its taken 31lbs to win for 2 weeks. And 29 to get 2nd. 21 for a check. How's that for negativity
Carl and crew,
One of the best videos I've seen posted on here in a while, glad that you guys were able to enjoy your trip to Okeechobee.....

Thanks for the post. What part of the lake were you in. On the North and East sides of the lake, many ramps and locks become un-useable when water nears 12 ft. I notice water has risen to 12.85. I'm hoping it will come up a bit more for my April and May trips. might let me get to a few spots I normally like to fish.

I was hoping they would let it get a little higher also but they are going to be dumping water for the next 3 weeks.
We put in at Rolands and fished south bay area.
