Posted in the Props forum, but know a lot of guys on here are running a Fury. Curious if there should be visible seems around the hub or if this is a manufacture defect on this particular Fury 4.

That is not "normal" I would replace. I slung 3 blades on Fury 4's!
My Fury 4 had similar mold markings, it also only has 3 blades now so you be the judge.
All BS aside, I do not see it as a problem unless the hub wobbles.
I believe my Tempest also has those marks.
They did not appear to effect performance, did not appear to be part of any failed props. i.e. when I slung blades or developed fractures in blades they did not originate from the mold markings.
My guess is they all probably come out of the mold with them before being ground off at the factory.
Appreciate the feedback. Took it out of the box and was pretty disappointed to see that. I pinged a few guys I fish with as well and they said to send it back. With as many guys that have slung blades, would think they would tighten up quality control on these before they leave the factory.
its casting marks doesn't hurt anything on the prop quality mine is the same
It's normal (For merc anyways).
Looked at the 3 merc props I have. They all have those casting marks.
Edit: 2006 Tempest to a 2018 Fury 4 all have those marks.
opened a new 25P Fury 4, no such marks
