I tried extending my platinum warranty las July before it ran out, Mercury wouldnt let me. The powerhead blew this morning. $8500 for new powerhead

If you can extend it, do it. Im a Mercury fan but everyone Ive ever owned has been a 5-1/2 yr pop goes the powerhead motor.
