1986 Yamaha 150hp Performance Upgrades??

Hey guys, just wondering if any of you all have ever done any performance modifications to your outboard. I’ve got a 86 Yamaha 150 and I’m just trying to see if I can get more out of it. It runs strong, but I’d like to go just a little faster without having to trade in for something else. Thanks.

I have a 1985 350 V with Yamaha 1984 150 has 220 carbs and Reeds,milled heads and 1987 pro V lower unit 2.0 gears and tempest 23 prop will run 64 @ 5800 on a good day ,Had it since 1985 kept in garage all its life and I still love it LOL
Bty it has a 6"Jackplate and the prop was worked by Mark

I have everything you need to make it a 200. Big bore carbs, horizontal reed cage with with new reeds. 200 heads.

That’s awesome. I can only get up to 55 @ 5500 with just myself and a tournament load. I might do what you have done. I’d like to hit the 60’s.
