As a Sooners fan, I have a hard time agreeing on them deserving a #5 ranking unless Kyler Murray comes back. Even with that, almost the entire O line will be getting drafted in April. And who knows what the heck the defense is going to be! Then again, I couldn't imagine the defense could get much worse.

The only question in my mind ... will it be Florida or Georgia taking the SEC crown this year.
Alabama has been very exposed. Nick Saban better spend the season reworking their defense.

If you list anyone other than bama and Clemson as 1 & 2, then you have no business commenting on this thread. Lol

I'm not even going to look but I bet it's Bama, Clemson, Georgia, OSU and OU in some order. Will probably change 15 times between now and summer.

I fully expect my alma mater, Michigan, and its overrated coach to get an enormous amount of attention and a #2 or #3 ranking after beating Penn State on the road and Notre Dame at home in back-to-back Saturdays in late October.... only to get exposed by Ohio State on November 30th and quit in whatever bowl game they play.

To answer Jim Harbaugh's "Who's Got It Better than Us" .... Since 1997 these teams have it better than us, well, maybe not Tennessee!

They did not look like a top 2 team. they slide, 2 spots, they failed on both sides of the ball.

True but people will see ‘Bama’s game as an anomaly. They can’t forget the last 10 years of Alabama’s play on the field. I thought they looked undisciplined in the playoff game, but was sure Saban would fix that before the NC game. They looked more undisciplined and almost confused to me.

After Florida’s over achieving season I truly hope they only continue to get better. I believe they’re only losing 1 starter to the draft.

Exposed the SEC, they lost the line of scrimmage both sides. That's the problem with conference and cup cake play. you don't Know till you play outside your conference. That goes for all conferences......look at bowl play, SEC is not dominate, just average.

If you use just the eye test there are 3 or 4 who played better games against their respective competition who were closely ranked to them.
