    mods to a 1.62 sporty gearcase

    This is the mods that I had Robbie at Sanderson marine do to my 300XS gearcase. He closes off one inlet and it looks like the other two have been slightly enlarged for greater water pressure at higher engine heights. Also the nose has been rounded ever so slightly which is actually hard to tell. This has been discussed in a post here a while ago which is why I posted these

    I use tiny pic for uploading pics but don't know how to rotate the pic before uploading it to here. The pic is upright on my PC but doesn't stay that way when it gets uploaded to tiny pic

    Never had a water pressure issue and I have same mods... never had a problem driving with cmc plate although I like my new one from Tim as well.


    Lack of trim can cause issues with water pressure and keeping bow up in waves. As can too much motor height. I like to run between 1/4”-1” above depending on how frisky I feel.
