I have four of those reels. I use them for ice fishing exclusively. Before they were discontinued they retailed for 89.95. They were not adopted by the ice fishing community and soon disappeared from Fish 13 line up.
They were love or hate kinda thing. Obviously the hate crowd was the vast majority. I like them for ice fishing. Yet I cannot point to a single reason why. With the possible exception of their drag systems.

That is a cool looking reel. It should be great for vertical fishing, eliminating line twist and a better drag vs. spinning reels.
Have you ordered from that website before? They have some rods and reels at VERY good prices.

Well, Have you used the funky little reel yet? Any reviews?
Didn't order any yet but i still might. I don't have much info about the selling company except that it is offshore.
