Moosehead rod rack

I bought 2 rack systems from R&R Design and I recieved them with the new clips but they were not installed. If anyone can shed some light as to how the clips are supposed to be placed on the butt section that would be great.

I have the Moosehead rod holders in my 05 Champ....and have no clue what you mean by "clips" . Can you post a picture?

Looks like R&R has a new Moosehead that secures the rod butts which they really needed. I have to pick up about half of my rod butts after each road trip and put them back in the holders. Below is from their web site. To the OP, I'd get back with R&R and see if they can provide direction.

"This updated version of the Moosehead Rod Organizer includes a movable hook which can be used to cover each opening and can be used to fully encompass a rod to keep it in place. This type of organizer is better for holding rods while the boat is in movement. This rod organizer can also store 12 rods at once."

Yeah but it came with no instructions or even pictures lol just trying to figure out how these get mounted.

The Moosehead in my 07 210 was standard equipment. You can bet your sweet bippy I'll be calling them to see if there is a retrofit capability for the older Mooseheads.

I did call them back because I ordered 2 but only got one, and asked about instructions and she said I could talk to the owner because he builds them and then she hung up lol. I had to go back to work by then.

Geez I think I'd pass that little tidbit of info on to the owner if you ever get to talk to him. Of course, she could be his wife

Also for those of you that have this system what is the length of screws that were used to install the rack tree
