It looks like Lamperts bid got rejected and they will be shuttering the remaking stores. Not unexpected but still sad to see a Company that started in 1893 go out of business. It was really the first Amazon with its catalogs and delivery.

I think I was their first customer. Back then it was Sears and Roebuck. I bought a can of oil for my baseball glove. I still have a couple of sets of their ratchet wrenches. Sorry to see them go.
Not sorry to see them go. Customer service was terrible since 1990’s.
They stopped standing behind what they sold.

I don’t know what the holdup is. Need to just let Sears go away.
they are talking about putting a huge mall of the America’s on the Broward Dade Border literally right next to the Everglades. We have a giant mall, Sawgrass Mills, which is about 10 miles or so from the new proposed mall. No way Sawgrass Mills will survive if that new mall goes in. We are way over retailed. On the bright side if these malls go down we will probably have some extra room for housing and schools.
