Why wouldnt they? The committee is in place to make CFB and the NCAA the most amount of money. They absolutely would be in before GA with a one loss record. You're kidding yourself if you dont think so.

I've said from the beginning the Committee got it right this year. All they really had to do was choose Clemson and Bama and that would have been enough. ND and Oklahoma deserved to play in the CFP. Clemson would have spanked any team in the top 20 this year. No one really should be spouting off except Clemson..

Game sucked, Bama and Notre Dame might have been more even and interesting.

UGA would not have made it either. A one loss Ohio St with a better strength of schedule ranking and a conference championship would get them in before a one loss ND team.

Only way I'll ever believe that is if they pick the final 4 before the conf. champ games.

Ok, ill agree with that and that's likely a better outcome than ND.

I don't disagree w/ what you say, but OSU did have a weaker strength of schedule. I also love this thread for the ND haters(and there are a bunch), with all the "they didn't belong talk" w/ no more backing than "it's clear", "no conference", blah, blah, blah. Turns out the Tigers were PRETTY GOOD!

At the time the committee made their choices, OSU were ranked #10 in strength of schedule. Notre Dame was #26.

The final AP rankings got it right:
    1. Clemson
    2. Alabama
    3. The Ohio State University
    4. Oklahoma
This is what it should have been when the playoffs started.
