    Storing a torque wrench

Do you turn it back to zero or just put it away. Is turning it back an old wives tale?

I turn it off and take the batteries out so the wife doesn't get any ideas.

Lowest setting if it is a click-type. If it is a 15-200 I put it on 15.

10% of full torque is a better storage setting. You dial it back to release pressure on the spring during storage so the spring doesn't weaken, but dialing it back to zero can take so much pressure off that some wrenches can come apart internally if dropped or jostled.
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,
    nothing else matters.
