Lake of the Ozarks end of April?

I may be in the area at the end of April for work and am wondering what the bite would typically be like the last weekend in April? Is there a guide that everyone recommends that I could look into for a day on the lake on 4/27? Or is there guided turkey hunts available in the area that time of year, or is it typically too late? Let's hear some ideas!

Thanks for the info, I'll give him a call. I'm assuming it'll be post-spawn by then?

Jack Uxa is an excellent guide and is on the water a lot. Jim Dill also a great choice.

April 27th is the Big Bass Bash. The lake will be very busy.

I wouldn’t hire a guide on the lake on the BBB. However, some of the guides will also do river trips so that might be an option.

Ya it's going to be hard to find a guide that will work on BBB weekend..they all will be fishing I bet..plus the lake will be so busy that weekend it's crazy..we fish the bash every year and it's unreal too see the amount of boats a tournament that can land you $100k for one big fish will bring..

Looks like I may have to explore turkey hunting then.
