8ft vs 10ft talons. Pictures Please

Trying to decide which size talons to get.. 8 or 10 ft. id like to be able to back in my garage without having to tilt. I believe the 8ft's are smaller than the motor.. so those would work- but what about the 10s? If anyone has pictures of their setups with either of those, id love to see. thanks

the 8' talons will be just below the cowling. The 10's pictured here are pretty close to the top and the 12's will run 6" above give or take. I have not installed any on the new merc for 2019. Hope to soon but should be the same theory.

    Scroll through this thread...http://www.bbcboards.net/showthread.php?t=708383

There is pictures of the old style 8ft model as well as the new style 8 ft model. There is also pictures of 10 and 12 foot models. I don't recall seeing any 15 footers in the gallery. There is pictures with small HP motors as well as medium HP but most are on large HP motors. You should be able to find a picture similiar to your rig and see how they sit...reply#25 should give you an idea of what 10 footers look like on your boat.

I think mine (10 footers) are measuring 79" high... I do not plan on installing fold down brackets... I will have only 2.5" of clearance at the lowest part of my garage ceiling which contains the HVAC duct. About 4 inches of clearance going under the top of the garage door opening.

The 10's would be inbetween. I don't have a clear picture of the installation of the 10's
