They have cabins right in the park and a decent bath house. Check the Smallwood website for availability and booking options. There are also a few hotels around...google search Indian head super 8
Check and call for hotels in Waldorf and Laplata. Make sure to ask if they have electric outlets. A guy in my club has stayed at the Patuxant Inn in laplata plenty of times.

Super 8 in Indianhead, not fancy but it is boat friendly. It is also a little more than a mile from the FREE ramp on Mattawoman Cr, if you want to fish it a day or two. The ramp is in the no wake zone of the creek, but not far from where you can run down the creek at full throttle. It's about a 10 minute ride to Smallwood from the motel.

Good BBQ joint and seafood restaurant within walking distance, but they are closed for a few days at the beginning of the week.

The cabins have room to park a boat and electricity, but the beds are made of concrete. If you stay at the park be sure to stop at Grays grocery just down the road a piece from the gate. They make any kind of food you can imagine within reason, they're nice people and if you get a cabin take a microwave so you can reheat coffee in the morning. You also get a free launch with cabin rental.
