    2017 skeeter

    My lights on trailer all work perfect except when I step
    on the brake the led reverse lights come on also
    any ideas why

    They are supposed to be wired into the reverse circuit in your truck. Possibly it is wired into the stop lights instead of the reverse switch. Other possibility could be a ground issue. Grounds can cause a lot of weird issues in electrical circuits.

    If this is something that just recently started, you might want to look at the trailer wiring where the conductors branch out and go thru the trailer frame. On my 2016 Zx225 the holes were cut with a torch and not deburred afterwards plus the wire harness was pulled tight and the wire had 90 deg bends rubbing the frame as a result. After about 8K miles, most of the wire insulation was chafed at each transition point thru the frame and my lights began to short out. For me, my left turn signal energized the reverse lights.
    I had to pull new wire and added a protective sleeve over the wire at frame transition points.
