only cut deep enough to remove floor and shouldn't be any issues. my 20 ft was clear underneath the floor---look on you tube as there are some videos with stratos being installed same basic set up. you are pleanty high above floor stringer as the pan is back from the nose some. you will LOVE the recessed tray also!! did mine by myself in a few hrs one Saturday

Wait for someone to reply that has done it to a R19. I was told by a guy with a R20 that he had to cut into the center compartment from underneath the deck and he saw some weakness after.

my hull was replaced under warranty and it is now a javelin hull I was told although it is a 20 footer??? open up rod boxes and look around. also, see where front center compartment ends in relationship to recessed tray location??

hull only transferred top cap. he was asking about stringers and floor joists?? he should be back enough to not interfere with them, compartment walls likely the biggest issue I believe?? likely same hull you have with a different top cap?

Guy in the video did not include a drain in his pan. It will fill with water and short his TM wiring.
The Renegade top cap is way different than your Stratos. The Renegade has a small front deck and huge back deck with a ton of console room. The front deck compartment goes far forward and I've always wondered if I would cut into the compartment with a recessed tray. This summer it was confirmed to me by a guy with the same boat. He did have to cut into it and feels his front deck has weakness now.

on my smaller venom 18, the tray ended up being at the end of the center rod locker. Wasn't any cross beams, but that deck was some tough stuff to cut. Mine came installed, but I changed to a wider model and had to expand the hole. Was a pain in the ass to get thru.

Two measurements and you should know your answer...Stick a tape measure in the front compartment and measure from a fixed point (door hinge/lip of the opening) to the back of the compartment. Your fixed position can be anything. All you need is something to use as a reference when your checking on the second measurement for clearance. Then place the tray where you want it on the front deck. Measure from the tray to the fixed position you measured from earlier and see if it will clear.
