FWS Side Scan Guidance Doc - Interpretation Side Scan

I found this document - An Illustrated Guide to Low-cost,Side Scan Sonar Habitat Mapping by the Fish and Wildlife Service.

    https://www.fws.gov/panamacity/resou...ing%20v1.1.pdf

Hopefully the link above works or copy the link or google the title.

Maybe people have seen it before.

It is humminbird side scan based, but most of the concepts are same. I have lowrance and found it helpful.

    Some interesting information and photos.

    Hopefully this helpful to some.

Thanks fishbern,i haven't seen this before and will review it.
i get very good imaging on my SS/DS,but interpreting what i see leaves a lot to be desired.
here in south louisiana,we have lots of bayous and lakes with very little "structure" noted on bottom, lots of smooth, plain, flat areas.
have tried different palettes, senstivity settings with not much help.
we have lots of oyster leases with she'll bottoms, but hard to discern.
