Looking at flashing my 2013 200hp SHO to 300hp through hydro-tech. Leaving the rev limiter at 6200rpm
Trying to get some recommendations on what prop to get.
Currently running a 25p t-1 ventless. I'm assuming i need to go to at least a 27p.

What boat?
200-300??? That does not compute with just reflashing the ECU.

The 200hp sho is the same block size as 225&250, just tuned down
Big difference between a 250 and a 300

I'm curious myself on the 100hp gain.
IF it's the same block, cams and throttle bodies (things a flash can't change), how does Yamaha detune it down from 300 to 200? It's more than just pulling timing out, that's for sure.
Not calling BS, just wondering how it's done.

They are already doing this with the new V-8 Mercury four stroke motors and have been doing it with Yamaha SHO's for two years.
My 200 sho’s ECU has been flashed since 2015. I have 450+ hours on it. Went from running 74 mph to 90.9 on a 21’ bullet. Tell me it’s not possible. I added power poles and now run 86 fully loaded tournament day. Stock I ran a 26 txp. Now I run a 28 txp and a 28 Bravo Xs.
I'm not saying it can't be done but I'm questioning if it can be done with just an ECU upgrade.
So the stock injectors are going to handle that much extra flow??? and the intake runners and head are going to handle the extra air movement it takes to make 300 horsepower?
I'm just asking the question, because I'm just an old dumbass drag racer.
Pitch up 2 over stock...for most props...maybe 3 for Bravo 1 XS's...depends on boat as well..
