200hp SHO Hydro Tech Flash to 300 prop recommendations

Looking at flashing my 2013 200hp SHO to 300hp through hydro-tech. Leaving the rev limiter at 6200rpm

Trying to get some recommendations on what prop to get.

    Currently running a 25p t-1 ventless. I'm assuming i need to go to at least a 27p.

200-300??? That does not compute with just reflashing the ECU.

I'm curious myself on the 100hp gain.
IF it's the same block, cams and throttle bodies (things a flash can't change), how does Yamaha detune it down from 300 to 200? It's more than just pulling timing out, that's for sure.
Not calling BS, just wondering how it's done.

They are already doing this with the new V-8 Mercury four stroke motors and have been doing it with Yamaha SHO's for two years.

My 200 sho’s ECU has been flashed since 2015. I have 450+ hours on it. Went from running 74 mph to 90.9 on a 21’ bullet. Tell me it’s not possible. I added power poles and now run 86 fully loaded tournament day. Stock I ran a 26 txp. Now I run a 28 txp and a 28 Bravo Xs.

    Nobody said it wasn't possible.
I personally wondered what Yamaha does to pull 100hp out of a 4-stroke engine.

I'm not saying it can't be done but I'm questioning if it can be done with just an ECU upgrade.

So the stock injectors are going to handle that much extra flow??? and the intake runners and head are going to handle the extra air movement it takes to make 300 horsepower?

I'm just asking the question, because I'm just an old dumbass drag racer.

You are questioning and I am answering. It can be done and there are 100’s of Yamaha sho owners that are doing it. Hydro tec or Simon Motorsports can answer the technical stuff but it’s happening.

I don’t know exactly what they are doing other than changing the ECU program. I took my ECU off, mailed it to Simon Motorsport. They mailed it back, I re installed it and that was it. 90 mph.

I’d recommend a 26 T-2 vmax sho prop or a 27 T-2. The sho likes high rpms. I prop mine to run as close to 6200 as possible

Are the throttles on these motors drive-by-wire? If so, that would explain a lot.
