Decision made. My A-Boat is staying home.

A few weeks ago I posted that I might sell my boat given a pretty good possibility that some health related things were looking like they would keep me off the water this year. I'm happy to say that instead of the 6-9 months of recovery from some surgeries I was looking at before getting released to get in a bassboat, a couple of new surgical procedures will be used that will decrease the recovery time to about 2 months or so if all goes well. I'll get to take advantage of a robot surgeon in one of the procedures. I kind of like that idea. I've always like the cutting edge technology. LOL. If these new procedures have a good chance of decreasing my risk and recovery time I'm all in. I'll be getting some new artificial discs in my neck in one surgery and a reworked sinus cavity that is causing pressure on some veins near my brain. If that don't do the trick there will be some brain surgery to put stints in. But it is all good for me. I'm going to get the surgeries done soon as I can so I can be ready to hit the lake when my favorite smallmouth holes get hot. Thanks for the prayers and know that I'll be in your corner anytime you guys need anything I can help you with.

Thank you my friend. I am really relieved to even have a chance at 2 months of down time vs 6-9 months. I'm hard headed and I may get that 2 months down to 1! LOL

Thank you my friends. I have a room reserved for the spring SOTW Rally in April. I am planning on having my boat there running with the pack. Back of the pack but packing no less.

That’s great to hear Johnny. One good thing about a robot is they always have a steady hand. I work with them everyday and they are much more reliable than humans.

Johnny, is your surgery going to be in North Alabama or Birmingham?

You are 100% right Matt. That was how the doctor described it. A Catscan will map things out to a super close tolerance, then a path or program is downloaded to the robotic surgeon device which can navigate almost perfectly and only cut what needs cutting, and only disrupt what needs disrupting etc. Not much collateral damage. Human hands are good but not .03 mm good. LOL
