Might get my hand slapped for mentioning Jaco's on the forum. Since it is going to be quite a while to take delivery of a 300R might be worth a trip north. Likely be fall before you get the motor and you could get in a couple days fishing and be able to check out the motor before taking it back home. Jaco's will also ship to any Mercury dealer of your choice for install. Their price is normally hard to beat especially with a package deal including install.
Thank's I was thinking the same but would be nice to have bought from a nearby dealer who could do any warranty work should the need arise
