    Looking to upgrade guages in the boat to something newer, any suggestions where to start would be helpful

    It's all you need, it will give you digital readouts of all critical engine data all in one gauge. I wouldnt run a Merc Opti/Pro XS without it for purposes of monitoring coolant temps to know if a tstat is stuck.

    Level one merc monitor if you have a 04 or newer I believe just put one in mine

    Level one merc monitor if you have a 04 or newer I believe just put one in mine. Like sun fish said coolent temp is critical. The thing will do a lot.
