    Stern lift

What clues do we get about having enough stern lift from a prop?
    i have a legend 211r with merc 250pro xs, prop is a fury 4 25 pitch.
going to send prop to Mr Gilbert for work.
If he adds cupping, will the diffuser ring still be important for Hole shot and low speed cruising?
Merc says the bravo 1 xs has short barrel with no diffuser.
The bravo 1 xs touts it’s great for bass boat heavy load work.
My fury 4 needs help when I fill my live wells.
Anyone taken off the diffuser on a fury 4?
The legend seems to run flat with not a lot of bow lift.

Not sure you can get bow lift & stern lift in a heavy boat like that, I’d think the boat would pretty much be airborne if you had both; but I’m not an expert.

What kind of rpm’s are you turning at WOT fully loaded?

Bow lift is more from the tips of the blade
stern lift can be the tube or some cupping on the blades closer to the barrel
i don't believe any of the furys are real good with a load.

Get a Bravo 1 and have Mark add two sets of PVS holes , it has a full flare .

    Depends on your priorities.
A flared barrel 4 blade will reduce bow lift and get the ass end up pronto, can plane in the teens. What we do cuz we Fish treacherous waters.
If you just want to haul ass to impress yourself and maybe stop and fish every once in a while the short /no flare barrel either 4 or 3 blade.
