    X-21 Prop & Height setup?

    I have a 2002 x-21 Mercury 225 EFI. I have a 10" jack plate The prop is a 27 p

My whole shot is really bad and I have to start very slowly to get up on plane or the prop washes out. Ant suggestions what prop is best? Prop Pitch? Blade 3,4 or 5? also distance below Pad

    Thanks!

Has the Merc had any mods to it to increase HP? The 27p is a little much. I would try a 25p if you could find someone to let you try it out. I run a 25p most of the time or maybe a 26p in the winter. The 27p was a little much for my boat with a Yamaha 250 HPDI with heavy load. Right now we are breaking in a 250 SHO with a 25p and it looks like we are going to need something with more pitch.

Interesting, those fury props go for big $$$$ 500.00+

I would really have to know that it worked to buy one. Wonder if any dealer would let me try one out??? Is that a reasonable request?

A 25pitch Tempest was the best set up for our x21, it had a 225efi merc also. Been too long ago to remember PTP. CJ
