Is there a thought you have considered that you wished you had NOT bought the boat?

No, the 198P does what I bought it for just fine. Wish it had a little more room in the cockpit but also wish I was 60 pounds smaller.

What motor did you get? What motor do you want? I got a Evinrude 150 HO. So far I am very pleased with the Evinrude.

Not me. I bought my RT198p primarily because it's a perfect boat for me and my wife to bump around the bushes, stumps and trees of the big East Texas reservoirs where we spend our winters. I spend far more time in my RT over the course of the entire year than I do my Z520c (in just the spring/summer at home in Canada it's about a 60/40 split for the Z520c). I have her out on Toledo Bend 4-5 days a week while we are down here and she makes trips to Sam Rayburn and other smaller reservoirs as well. It's a pretty painful and wet ride when the big seas get rough but on a normal day its a pretty decent ride.

Yes, I regretted not having a tandem trailer, right after I bought mine, they came out with them literally a month later. Dealer had no idea they were going to that. Also, unfortunately, I am a speed chaser, so the boat was too slow for me. Other than that, best boat I owned for fishing. Fishes really really well, comfortable and set up perfectly. I actually miss mine I sold last summer. I am boatless now but I wanted to go back to glass so I ordered what I wanted.

I am still feeling good with ordered boat, comments are coming from matured folks thanks.
I would like owners to Keep commenting, I have time to cancel my boat need be.
Ranger opens back up 1/2 and my boat has not been started yet.
Excited! YES!! But 8-10 weeks is a lot time to wonder and hope dream boat is dream boat.
I cAn buy what I want but just tired of big glass 20’ monsters.
I fish 20 events a year and love to win or lose, it dont matter which anymore.
i got all my limbs , Heath and blood still flowing!

I have 2017 198p with 150 merc 4 stroke. I wanted a tin boat with room for a couple of reasons 1 I wanted a boat I could put countless hours on to map and prefish 2 I also fish a lot of small lakes and ponds. Some of these have no ramps I put a ultrex 112 on it to help fish in wind as wind pushes it around. /// Only con =Livewell I thought I could also use this boat to fish tournaments ,for a do all boat and for team tournaments it’s fine But with draw tournaments the livewell is to small with the divider in to hold two big sacks of fish I have had every glass boat u can think of and these larger tin boats are so much more versatile as far as fishing goes.

Can't say enough good things about mine! I wish the back side compartments were a little bigger and the cockpit had a little more room but those things got addressed on the 2019's. Its an awesome machine that is a blast to drive and fish out of!

Well that's a PIA but at least you got a good boat.

Wow, hit him right where it hurts. Good luck on the surgery.
There’s no use being stupid if you’re not willing to show it off.

I highlighted two words in that statement that are very key to any boat purchase. I know the water Mike fishes and the 198 is a perfect fit. I think he as well as others will agree it's not the ideal boat for the great lakes, KY, Barkley,LOZ, Rayburn or anything such as that but you could still pull it off if conditions were not bad. However you put in on a lake that's made for the style/size boat it is and it will shine in performance.
