    RT188 Jack

I know there has been talk of the RT188 trailer jack in the past but I couldn't find it in a search.

For those of you that have replaced your factory jack on the RT188 trailer, was there a model that did not require any modifications of any kind?

Check out Skeeterbaits mods, one of the nicest outfitted 188s out there.

I switched mine out for a Fulton (141133) XLT Sharkskin Finish Bolt-On Swing-Away Jack (1500 lb. Weight Capacity) model from Amazon Warehouse for $69.95.

I had to get a 1" spacer to move it out enough to clear the trailer on my '16 model.

Once I did that it was well worth the time and effort it took to do it.

I can show you what I used to space it out as it was lightweight aluminum.

Another option that you can do with the XLT jack is replace the over sized wheel with the factory jack wheel . It doesn't look bad and will allow the jack to fold without having to add a spacer

    It's all good !

Installed the Fulton F2 today. This jack is a beast compared to what came on the trailer.

I have a 2018 Rt178 also. Did You have to do any mods to the pate or jack to make it fit? I would like to change mine too.

No modifications. You just have to flip the end with the wheel towards the trailer hitch when you raise it. The wheel is really wide and will hit the trailer if you go the other way.

Thanks. I also noticed you changed out the winch and the bow roller. How do you like them? Did the jack bolt on to the holes that were used for the original jack?

Love the winch and bow roller. The hook would dig in to the rubber bow roller and was tearing it up. The one I have now (Stoltz) is very hard and the hook glides right across it.

The jack lines up with the holes perfectly. I did have to get some longer bolts because the mount on the F2 is thicker than the original one.

Looks Great! I love my Stoltz bow roller and Fulton F2 winch. Really want the Jack next.

My OEM wheel was eat up so that wasn't an option.

Where I park mine the extra height is an added bonus.

Just an FYI that Autozone has the above mentioned jack F1413140334 for $164.99. I had already placed an order with etrailer but got a price match for the autozone price before it shipped. Also, you can adjust the jack on the frame and move it to the bottom and no spacer or any other mod is required. It fits my 15 RT178 like a glove after sliding it down.

I can't find it on Auto Zone's website any way that I do a search. Do you have a link by chance?

As an added bonus I just looked and they have 20% off orders over $100 so that makes the total $131.99 which is a smoking deal. If anyone is on the fence, this is too good to pass up. It is listed for $249.87 on etrailer right now.
